About the Artist
Casper Brindle is a Los Angeles-based artist known for his luminous, ever-evolving body of work spanning painting, sculpture, and installation. Deeply influenced by the Light and Space movement and the Finish Fetish aesthetic, Brindle blends formal precision with sensuality and spatial engagement.
Born in Toronto in 1968, Brindle relocated with his family to Los Angeles in 1974. By his early twenties, he had immersed himself in the Venice art scene, home to many of LA’s most progressive artists. It was in this environment that Brindle's sensibility began to crystallize around the core ideas of Light and Space, ultimately shaping the trajectory of his career.
Process and Philosophy
Brindle’s practice is rooted in the idea that perception itself can be the subject of art. His work extends and reinterprets the dialogue started by artists such as Robert Irwin, James Turrell, Helen Pashgian, and Fred Eversley, continuing a lineage where the viewer’s experience becomes as important as the object itself.
His studio approach is hands-on and materially driven. Using automotive paints, pigmented acrylics, and carefully layered surfaces, Brindle manipulates light and reflection to create dynamic, atmospheric experiences. His works change as the viewer moves, shifting in tone and intensity to engage the senses in real time.

Exhibitions and Collections
Brindle’s work has been exhibited internationally and is represented in numerous respected public and private collections. His recent solo exhibition at the Luckman Gallery Museum at Cal State LA showcased the breadth and depth of his evolving practice.
His work is held in the permanent collections of institutions such as the Frederick R. Weisman Museum, the Laguna Art Museum, the Lancaster Museum of Art and History, and the Morningside College Collection in Sioux City, Iowa. Limited Editions Collaboration
This edition was created in close dialogue with Brindle, translating his signature visual language into a finely calibrated print series. Each work was selected for its ability to maintain emotional resonance in a new medium — retaining his hallmark sensitivity to light, depth, and texture.
The prints are produced with archival pigment on museum-grade paper, hand-signed and numbered by the artist. This collaboration is a rare opportunity to collect Brindle's work in limited edition form while preserving the care, detail, and material integrity found in his original works.
